Your house is so adorable. I love all of your decor! You have worked hard and it looks fantastic :)

Randall @ Happy For This Moment March 1, 2009 6:56 PM

You did a wondeful job!

Amy March 1, 2009 6:57 PM

it is adorable! i love that little squirrel. What is it with my obsession with little white animals?

Jennelle March 1, 2009 7:04 PM

Kristal, your house is gorgeous! If I were you, I'd never leave. :) Hey, that's not a bad idea... I'd save a lot of money if we never went out!

Laura March 1, 2009 8:04 PM

Your decor is so simple and beautiful. I love that stripe in your master bedroom. It adds such an interesting focal point to the room.

Chelsie March 1, 2009 8:19 PM

You have made everything look so awesome. I really love your style.

Julia March 1, 2009 8:40 PM

Great new color in the family room! Did you repaint all of the rooms? I can't remember the 'before' shots but it looks great now:)

Lacey March 1, 2009 8:43 PM

I love your house! It's beautiful! I think I could live in your guest room!

Meredith March 1, 2009 9:50 PM

Everything looks absolutely lovely! The new living room color is fabulous.

Seriously...why have I never thought about just putting a stack of cookbooks on the counter as decor? Chic AND practical is what I'm all about.

Danielle March 1, 2009 10:22 PM

I'm loving many things in your house! So pretty! The first I'll ask about are the dandelion prints in the kitchen - where are those from?! They are just the type of thing I've been looking for!

Angie March 2, 2009 8:16 AM

Everything looks fabulous girl! So are you done with the entire house now? Our master is brown and blue too, I love that color combo.
I think I saw a dog under your coffee table.

Mrs. Dirnberger March 2, 2009 8:34 AM

Your house is great...I am so jealous of how cute it is!

Tabbie:) March 2, 2009 9:28 AM

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. So put together and stylish!! I am in love with it!!!

Jenn March 2, 2009 9:32 AM

Love, love, love the living room color!!! I wasn't sure I was going to simply because the previous color was gorgeous...but you were right to make the change. The room looks so much brighter and bigger

Sarah March 2, 2009 10:21 AM

Seriously, your house is so pretty! Can I move in?

Kristal March 2, 2009 10:35 AM

Amy - I've got the same obsession...did you see the turtle? And the bunny? And the frog, LOL?

Julia - I only repainted the living room.

Danielle - I actually got all the dandelion prints from Flickr. I looked through for photos I liked, then contacted the owner to make sure they didn't mind me printing them off. I downloaded them, had them printed at Walgreens, and framed them. ;) Easy and very inexpensive.

Angie - I'm never done, haha. First of all, we've got a three bedroom house, so there is one room that has never before been seen. ;) It's a mess, so that project is always looming over my head. Plus, there are a few things here and there that I still want to do...I've got a list!

Kat Fish March 2, 2009 1:41 PM

I love this post. First of all, look at that cute little doggie. Not the sweet one hiding under the table, but, the one standing guard. Everyone needs to go to the archive and look at the first pics of Alvin. He was soooo skinny and starved for love. :-( Now he is handsome and happy looking.

I love the little sprouty things all over the house. It makes me think of spring and you know I love spring.:-)That will look so cute when they all bloom.

The whole house looks so darn good and knowing about your cheapness makes it all the better. Style on a dime, that's what I'm talkin' about!! ;-)
But last, the picture of you and Courtney in the guest room makes me so sad. :-(0
Other than that it is a very happy post.

Kristal March 2, 2009 2:31 PM

LOL, Mom. Chad and I decided that first picture belongs in a magazine cause Alvin looks so handsome. :)

And those sprouty things are tulips - I can't wait for them to bloom! I've got them all over.

Cheap projects are my forte! And that picture makes me sad too. :(

Ashley March 2, 2009 4:10 PM

Great job! :o)

Gia March 2, 2009 7:40 PM

Krystal, where did you get the rug in your living room? Love it and want it for my dining room!!!

Kristal March 3, 2009 11:40 AM

Gia - I'm not 100% sure. That rug is a hand me down from my mama. But she said she thinks she got it from Lowes. ;)

mxq March 3, 2009 1:42 PM

i ADORE the new look in the living room!

Sharon March 3, 2009 8:36 PM

Your house is so stylish. Is this a Pottery Barn catalog?! The guest bedroom looks fabulous.

Freckles Chick March 4, 2009 8:47 AM

Alright, K, you just made me want to redecorate our entire freaking home!! I ADORE your style. We have similar kitchens but I like yours way better. Love, love, love. I'm officially crushing on your home =)

Mary March 4, 2009 9:35 AM

If you weren't my friend, I'd hate you for your perfect house;) Everything is so planned and goes together so nicely. Maybe you should change careers to interior decorator?

Mindy March 4, 2009 11:54 AM

It looks fantastic! All of your hard work and planning really shows. I only hope that mine looks as pulled together someday as what yours does.

Amy R March 4, 2009 3:32 PM

I'm sad that I can't see your pictures anymore! It's probably our new updated firewall at work. I'll have to try out your blog at home too.

prepinparadise March 5, 2009 10:17 AM

Love it, love it, love it!

Lindsey March 8, 2009 8:34 PM

Your house looks fantastic! If I ever move somewhere that has homes that are actually affordable, will you decorate it for me? Pretty please?

*jAcLyN* April 15, 2009 9:50 AM

Can you tell me what the green color is in your spare bedroom? I love it and want to use it in my living room!

Kristal April 16, 2009 11:56 AM

Jaclyn - you've picked the one wall color in the house that I can't name. :( It was just a leftover from my mom painting her house. I nabbed it and slapped it on that one wall. Sorry!

Jenni July 22, 2009 2:57 PM

I just discovered your blog today, and I have to say you did a wonderful job with your home. I absolutely love your bedroom! And your bedroom furniture set is gorgeous. Was it vintage? Because if it wasn't I want to scoop up a set for myself!

Anonymous August 10, 2009 5:32 PM

I just discovered your blog today through the nest, I love your decorating! What color paint (and brand) did you use in the living room? I love it! Do you find it to ever be to dark for a living room?

Kristal August 11, 2009 10:08 AM

Jenni - yes, the bedroom set is antique.

Anon - The living room paint is Valspar's Tornado Watch. And no, it's never too dark. Quite the opposite actually, it makes the room seem very airy and bright. Keep in mind though that we have great windows in our house, which really helps the entire house seem bright and sunny.

Krystie August 15, 2009 2:15 PM

Looks great!!

nicky August 15, 2009 2:36 PM

your new pics are great! and i absolutely LOVE the floors, as i've said before ;) you'll have to add nursery pics when you get that room done!

thriftylittleblog August 18, 2009 11:35 AM

You have such a cute home. It looks great paired with your more modern/ young style!
